Leading SAFe (SA) 4.5 – Course Duration: 2 Days

In this two-day course, you will learn the knowledge to become SAFe certified as a SAFe Agilist (SA), gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework, learn its underlying principles of Lean -Agile thinking through Agile Release Trains and product development flow. SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) 4.5 – Course Duration: 2 Days

In this two-day course, you’ll gain an understanding of the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe enterprise. Unlike traditional Scrum Master training that focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, the SAFe Scrum Master course explores the role of Scrum in the context of the entire enterprise, and prepares you to successfully plan and execute the Program Increment (PI), the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization.

SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) 4.5 – Course Duration: 2 Days

In this two-day course, you will learn how the roles of Product Owner, Product Manager, Solution Manager, and Epic Owner drive the delivery of value in the SAFe enterprise. You’ll get an overview of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), the Lean-Agile mindset, and an understanding of how the Product Owner and Product Manager roles operate in the enterprise to drive the delivery of value. SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) 4.5 – Course Duration: 2 Days

This two-day course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) implementation. The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices; the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value; and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts.

SAFe for Teams (SP) 4.5+ – Course Duration: 2 Days

This two-day course teaches teams who are part of an Agile Release Train (ART) how to work in an Agile environment using Scrum, Kanban, and XP. The teams will learn how to become Agile Teams, build their backlog, and plan and execute iterations. Agile teams learn about their ART and their role in it, planning, executing, and improving with other teams. This class prepares teams to run a Program Increment (PI), including all meetings at the Team and Program level with a specific focus on the upcoming PI planning. Attending the class prepares participants to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Practitioner (SP).

ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) – Course Duration: 2 Days

In order to succeed with agile, teams and organizations should focus first on “being agile” as a foundation for success in “doing agile.” ICAgile’s fundamentals learning objectives delve into key concepts such as adaptive planning, value-driven development, team collaboration and frequent feedback for continuous improvement. The course also covers the history of agile, the agile manifesto, the agile principles, and some widely applied frameworks and practices. ICAgile-BVA – Course Duration: 2 Days

The ICP-BVA is one of two certifications on the Product Ownership Track. The certification focuses on value-driven software delivery, the accompanying mindset, and key agile practices designed to emphasize customer value. It also looks at creating organizational and team environments conducive to frequent and transparent collaboration between the business and development teams. The learning objectives highlight specific techniques and practices such as lightweight requirements, prioritization methods, progressive elaboration, product/project roadmapping, story mapping, effective user stories, and acceptance criteria. ICAgile-EPO – Course Duration: 2 Days

The ICP-EPO is one of two certifications on the Product Ownership Track. The certification focuses on the behaviors and skills necessary to transform an output-based enterprise into an impact and outcome-driven enterprise. It also looks at eliminating silos to organize initiatives around value-delivery. The learning objectives highlight techniques and practices to help define value in alignment with corporate vision and strategy, to engage stakeholders at broad levels, and to measure customer value at scale. Participants who complete this certification will be exposed to case studies of value-based organizations and learn leading-edge thinking to apply at their companies.

Agile Team Facilitation,
ICAgile- ATF – Course Duration: 3 Days

The ICP-ATF is one of two certifications on the Agile Coaching Track. It focuses primarily on the mindset and role of an agile team facilitator, while also providing group facilitation tools and techniques for effectively designing meetings and workshops that both engage the entire audience and drive towards agreed-upon outcomes. Through obtaining this certification, the learner will develop an appreciation for the art of facilitation as key to fostering collaboration and enabling self-organizing teams. In addition, participants will update their facilitator toolkits and gain practical experience leveraging them to facilitate specific agile practices towards successful team outcomes.

Agile Overview – Course Duration: 1/2 Day

The purpose of this course is to introduce the basics of Agile and explain how the management style changes with the conversion to Agile. The course begins with a review of the paradigms associated with Waterfall development and how they contrast with the agile paradigms. The course concludes with a review of the behavioral changes necessary for management to support the Agile Transition. This course is intended to challenge existing beliefs about management and provide practical alternative behaviors, which support the Agile Principles. Total honesty is important so managers and subordinates cannot attend the same class. Students are encouraged, to submit issues before class so that they can leave the classroom with an action plan for addressing those issues.

User Stories with Strong Acceptance Criteria- Course Duration: 1 Day

The purpose of this course is to present effective techniques for the production, management, and usage of user stories. The class begins with an exercise to practice creating user stories. The class includes descriptions of techniques that can be used in various situations to maximize user story usage. The class ends with a practice in enhancing user stories throughout the project lifecycle. This course is intended to show through practical example how to manage requirements continuously throughout a project.

Backlog Refinement- Course Duration: 1 Day

The purpose of this course is to understand the backlog refinement process to better estimate stories and write Acceptance Criteria for User Stories. The class begins with an exercise to show how proper planning will help attain the desired result. The class walks students through the refined process to properly plan sprints to reach their sprint goals. The class concludes with writing acceptance criteria in Gherkin format to ease the team into Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).

Agile Practices for Managers- Course Duration: 2 Days

The purpose of this course is to provide Agile training and coaching for managers who need to understand agile methodologies and how they can be applied to the development of enterprise software applications. The course begins with an examination of the cultural implications of agile work. The course ends with an examination of management roles in Sprint reviews. This course is intended to give managers additional techniques for managing teams in agile environments.

The purpose of this course is to provide project managers new to Agile with detailed guidance for daily life in an agile environment. The class starts with a comparison of the % of time spent performing activities and using skill sets in both traditional and agile environments. The course ends with an assessment of the project manager’s “toolkit” and generation of a development plan. This course is intended for project managers who have experience in a traditional project management environment. Students are encouraged, to submit issues and questions before class so that they can leave the classroom with an action plan for addressing those issues.
